Job Description

Dairy Farm Assistant Manager required for 300 cow herd in North Co Wexford.  The farm has excellant infrastructure  and has a high producing herd. This is a hands on position with some decision making, overseeing production and the implementation of the health and breeding programmes. The successful candidate will need to have a keen eye for the welfare of the stock and implement proper grassland management procedures in conjunction with the farmer. 

Full clean driving licence is required as is the ability to operate farmyard machinery. 

Accommodation can be arranged. 

Remuneration can be negotiated.

Our Client based in Saskatchewan, Canada currently has a full time, permanent opportunity for a number of  Agricultural Mechanics. This exciting position reports directly to the Service Sales Manager and works alongside experienced and motivated team members.

 Job Duties:

   *   Diagnosing and inspecting equipment for faults and malfunctions.

  *   Repairing and adjusting equipment and replacing defective parts.

  *   Performing updates, pre-season delivery inspections, and pre-season inspections.

  *   Completing work orders and entering technician notes into computer.

  *   Ordering parts and providing quotes.

  *   Traveling to customers and other branches may be required

 Skills required

  *   Three years' experience working on Agricultural and/ or Heavy Equipment.

  *   Possess problem solving skills.

  *   Proven ability to work with minimal supervision.

  *   English language fluency is required.

Senior Sprayer Operative  -  full-time position


  • Spraying of strawberries, raspberries and blackberries using various equipment
  • Manage a small team of spray operators
  • Be able to drive various tractors and purpose built machines
  • Responsible for stock control of chemical/fertilizer store
  • Be able to carry out routine machinery maintenance
  • Record and schedule servicing of machinery
  • Able to calibrate sprayers
  • Understand harvest intervals and their importance
  • Accurate recording of spray applications
  • Accommodation available
  • Permanent position with a 3 month trial period
  • 40 hours per week with overtime as required
  • Salary dependant on experience


  • Must have good spoken and written English
  • Experience in agro-chemical application
  • Computer literate an advantage
